Hello, and welcome to Pat Foster Guitars. I build acoustic guitars, using methods and materials based on both tradition and modern technology.

Working with wood has been a passion of mine since childhood. In the 1970s, I built banjos and resurrected old guitars, banjos and mandolins in various states of neglect and disrepair. I took in repair work for several years to get through school. I ended up in Silicon Valley and later, Spokane in eastern Washington. In 2005, after a long hiatus, I returned to the world of stringed instruments and began building guitars.
